Nothing teases Phone (2) design: Here’s what has changed

The Nothing Phone (2) is set to launch in India on July 11, and the London-based company has started teasing the smartphone on its social media platforms. Nothing shared an image that gives a glimpse of the design of the upcoming handset.

In a tweet accompanied by the image of the phone’s back, the company stated, “Ahead of the curve. See you on 11 July for the official launch of Phone (2).” The image suggests that the back glass of the smartphone has curved edges.

This design change could be a welcome addition to smartphone aesthetics. Curved glass can potentially provide a more comfortable feel when held. Furthermore, we have already seen design changes in the Glyph Interface, indicating that the phone will receive a fresh look.

Pre-orders for the Nothing Phone (2) have begun, with Flipkart being the platform of choice starting from June 29.

The company is offering instant discounts for customers who use credit and debit cards from major banks. Additionally, customers will have the option to purchase the Nothing Phone (2) case, originally priced at Rs 1,299, at a discounted price of Rs 499. The screen protector, priced at Rs 999, will be available for Rs 399, and the 45W fast charger, normally priced at Rs 2,499, will be offered for Rs 1,499.

Nothing has already revealed several key specifications of the smartphone. The upcoming Phone (2) will feature a 6.7-inch display and will be powered by a custom Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, a significant improvement over last year’s Snapdragon 778G+.

Company founder Carl Pei has stated that the Nothing Phone (2) will provide an even better and more luxurious user experience compared to the Phone (1). Those interested can watch the launch event, which will begin at 8:30 PM IST on July 11. The event will be livestreamed on the company’s website.
